Well it went pretty well. I crossed 2 streams, went through multiple cow pastures, and through an apple orchard to get there. It was quite amazing. I got a blister too. I need to walk more. Going up to the top of that hill/mountain was one heck of a journey. I probably spent 45 minutes up there praying and reading and looking at what God created.
By the way humanity is such a small footprint in the vastness of God's handiwork. A picture cannot do justice. You have to see it, feel it, smell it, and most importantly, just be. Go into the wilderness, go on a hike, go somewhere where not many other people have been. Then you will understand His beauty.
The reason for my walk was to change things. Not much got changed in my life. But progress has been made. I am to be the spiritual leader of my family. I know that the man is "supposed" to be this, but I have not been the leader in any way shape or form in this family for a while. But that HAS to change.
A man is supposed to lead the family because of how he is made. He didn't give the garden of Eden to Eve, he gave it to Adam to take care of. I am in a huge stage of transition right now in my life, and none of it is comfortable. Taking that first step is going to be hard.
But luckily I have a great book to read! |
